Long-term Uwchlan resident, Mom to three DASD kids, Experienced Teacher

A Vote For Margie is:

A vote for an advocate, not an activist

  • As a mother, I am committed to high-quality education for ALL students. I’m determined to keep students in school and learning.

  • I am firmly against activism disguised as education; I believe in boundaries between school and home;

  • I am NOT okay with “business as usual “ in light of the eight DASD suicides. Our students need to be physically IN SCHOOL, and learning their mental health and well-being depends on it.

I will vote “No” on tax increases. I understand that tax increases negatively impact the value of your home, as does the quality of our DASD schools. However, homes are a primary asset for many residents. I want our senior homeowners to continue to afford the homes they love.

I’m a Life Long Teacher

As an educator who has spent years in the classroom, I can help administrators, and other board members understand how policy translates into reality for our students. We need to ensure that our students get the highest

 educational quality possible to prosper in a global economy.

I’m an Advocate not An Activist

School is about education; I will use my knowledge to give students and their families a voice on the board. Teachers have the Teachers Union; I will help elevate the voices and concerns of students and families.

I Empathize with Students

Our students face severe educational and emotional challenges due to remote learning and the many losses resultant from the long-term shutdown. Therefore, students need in-person stimulating educational experiences, connections with others, activities, and special events, and when required, counselors are available to listen when a student faces a struggle.
